Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, ‘Do It’ compiles 20 years of artists’ instructions for art that can be made by anyone.
The project began in Paris in 1993 with a conversation between Obrist and Christian Boltanski and Bertrand Lavier. Obrist was concerned with expanding the idea of the exhibition – making it more flexible and open-ended.
The book contains a series of instructional procedures from some of the most important figures in Contemporary art such as Ai Weiwei, David Lynch, Damien Hirst, Marina Abramovic and more.
'Do It’ is a great source of inspiration and we highly recommend a copy for your coffee table.
