It’s an easy time of year to get caught up with the ‘getting’ part of the season rather than the ‘giving’. There are so many amazing initiatives and organizations in the city this time of year that are about giving back and helping those who need it.
We have always tried to be a positive part of our community and this season is no different. This year we have donated to three charities that mean a lot to us. We wanted to highlight them and the importance of giving back to your community. It takes a village and if we can be one pair of helping hands this holiday season we’re happy to be.
Unicef was founded in 1955 and focuses on saving children’s lives around the globe. They are also the world leading advocate for children’s rights and are active across 190 countries and territories.
Casey House is Canada’s first and only stand-alone hospital for people with HIV/AIDS. Research and education are two areas of focus for Casey House. 'Aging and HIV' and 'Complex Care' are examples are priority research areas.
